Vives Environmental Responsibility
Vives obtained the integrated environmental authorization for its new porcelain production facilities.
On January the 12th 2010, la Dirección General para el Cambio Climático de la Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Agua, Urbanismo y Vivienda (Environment, Water, Planning and Housing Department General Management for Climate Change) in the Comunidad Valenciana awarded VIVES Azulejos y Gres the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI) for its new porcelain production factory.span>
This authorization is in addition to those already obtained in 2008 for the other facilities that are within the scope of Ley 16/2002 de Prevención y Control Integrados de la Contaminación (Law 16/2002 on Pollution Prevention and Control), which supports VIVES Azulejos y Gres environmental management policy. It also sets its facilities operation conditions, defining and clarifying the new legal requirements in terms of limits and control of factors such as air emissions, air quality, noise levels, soils, water supply, water reuse and waste generation.
Thanks to VIVES Azulejos y Gres efforts and dedication, now it has high tech facilities and processes being in the vanguard of the industry, integrating the pollution prevention and control in all its activities.
