Vives Introduces In Its Premises The “Zero Waste” Policy
VIVES has always promoted the introduction of measures addressed to minimize the waste generation. New strategies have been adopted in order to recycle all those waste that can be reused in the manufacturing process, avoiding its dump.
This process takes place in both external and internal premises. Nowadays, VIVES manufacturing plants are prepared to depurate and recycle their sewage water by reincorporating it to the manufacturing process or to the clay mill. In this way, the “zero waste” is achieved.
Thanks to this initiative, VIVES recycles the 100% of the watery suspension as well as the mud water coming from the glazing process. Another recycled wastes are: the pieces that are classified as defective before the firing process and the dust in the depuration filters. All these wastes are recycled in the manufacturing process of the atomised ceramic dust by reincorporating them in the clay mill. These wastes become valuable and their dump in the environment is avoided.
